The industry

A series of shots from the first half of the 20th century document the production of the Monfalcone area industries, which at the time were also oriented towards aircraft (such as seaplanes), as well as ships.

These photographs still arouse a sense of wonder that goes beyond the testimony of the construction art of the new shipyards: the almost expressionist gaze implies much deeper insights into the technique and progress of the machines – the aeronautical industry is often, in fact, inextricably linked to the wartime past that leaves its mark on the landscape.

L’industria

Una serie di scatti della prima metà del ‘900 documentano la produzione delle industrie del monfalconese, allora orientate anche ai mezzi aerei (come gli idrovolanti), oltre che alle navi.

Queste fotografie ancora oggi suscitano una meraviglia che va oltre la testimonianza dell’arte costruttiva dei nuovi cantieri: lo sguardo, quasi espressionista, sottintende chiaroscuri ben più profondi sulla tecnica e sul progresso delle macchine – l’industria aeronautica è spesso, infatti, indissolubilmente legata al trascorso bellico che lascia segni nel paesaggio.

Serija fotografij iz prve polovice 20. stoletja, ki pričajo o proizvodnji industrije na tržiškem območju, ki je bila v tistem času, poleg ladij, usmerjena tudi v proizvodnjo letal (npr. hidroplanov).

Te fotografije še vedno vzbujajo začudenje, ki presega gradbeno umetnost novih gradbišč: pogled, ki postane skoraj ekspresionističen, predpostavlja globljejši nazor na tehnični napredek; letalska industrija je pogostoma neločljivo povezana z vojno preteklostjo, ki zapušča sledove na pokrajini.
